Warehouse & Technical Operative (Hatfield) Location: Hatfield Contract: 3-month rolling contract Rate: 17.62 per hour (Umbrella) | 16.38 per hour (PAYE) We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse & Technical Operative to join our team in Hatfield. This hybrid position combines both Packing & Inspection and Technical Configuration responsibilities, supporting our logistics and configuration departments. We're looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and flexible individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and contributes to maintaining best practices. Key Responsibilities Packing & Inspection Duties Inspect and verify devices against repair order details (model, build, serial number, asset number, etc.). Perform final QA checks for overall device condition. Ensure all additional parts (e.g., PSU) are present and packaging is complete and secure. Maintain sufficient stock levels of packaging materials. Attach all relevant labels and documentation accurately. Prioritise workloads between Business as Usual (BAU) and demand to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Technical & Configuration Duties Provide basic to intermediate-level IT configuration services, following detailed scripts and processes. Perform software installations and system builds using in-house tools (training provided). Conduct data input and spreadsheet management (2550% of the role) with a high level of accuracy. Consolidate consignments for distribution and coordinate with the wider team to ensure order completion. Box and unbox IT equipment, perform pallet movements, and plan workflow efficiently. Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Team Leaders regarding progress and workload. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience in warehouse or logistics operations. Basic IT knowledge and understanding of hardware components. Strong data input and Excel/spreadsheet skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Flexible and proactive approach to changing priorities. Reliable, with good timekeeping and a strong work ethic. Ability to meet performance targets and work to SLAs.
