About the Company:We are leading the tank container industry with strategic global positioning, state-of-the-art depots, and an unwavering commitment to setting the standard for excellence.About the Role:This is a hands-on role, requiring an experienced candidate to oversee a fleet of Tractor units and also regional Maintenance Facilities.This role includes overseeing the maintenance process and analysis, procurement, disposal of assets, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, optimisation of fleet performance, and management of maintenance cost using intelligence led decision making. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven, robust Leader with a clear vision, the ability to communicate and implement objectives across teams, and the skill to provide coaching and mentoring to foster a motivated, high-performance workforce. Also, happy to work in an environment of change and be able to make effective decisions quickly, whilst demonstrating excellent leadership and driving significant change and efficiency.Responsibilities:Leading and managing in-house garages to ensure safety, legal compliance, quality standards, and customer service, while achieving efficiency and financial targets.Developing garage teams to match business growth. Managing the day-to-day aspects of fleet and garage, whilst also focusing on new projects and fleet strategy.Expanding beyond the primary customer base.Assessing and managing of assets.Working with the operation to ensure sufficient vehicle and equipment allocation, and identify opportunities to improve utilisation.Providing technical support to the business, ranging from vehicle specifications, managing the vehicle and equipment profile, identifying alternative options.Improving asset utilisation and uptime.Delivering change in structure, systems and processes to improve efficiency and decrease overall cost garages.Having overall responsibility for Health and Safety, Quality and compliance activity within garages.Ensuring checks and balances are in place, confirming correct procedures are being followed, evidenced by audits optimising maintenance and spend value.Ensuring internal and external customer relationships are managed within the Service Level Agreements and evidenced through relevant KPIs which include uptime, repair times, first time repair and cost.Building excellent relationships with existing customers, maximising business opportunities in support of the overall growth strategy.Ensuring maintenance record keeping is accurate, descriptive and can be invoiced based on the technician’s records.Ensuring fleet maintenance work is completed efficiently and cost effectively, including compliance with standard job times, parts and technician productivity targets.Full P&L accountability for all in-house garages and ensuring demonstrable value.Identifying and implementing opportunities to continually improve fleet value measured in robust financial terms.Driving delivery of financial targets through effective leadership, robust processes and business growth.Leading people engagement at all levels of the garages function by effectively using objective setting to achieve clear goals that drive results and career development.Attending the Employee Forum Meetings and Safety Meeting to raise engagement with all levels of the Fleet team.
