We are currently recruiting for a Junior Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturer of industrial paints based in Redditch. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with engines, machinery, or mechanical projects in their spare time. Duties will include: Assist in routine maintenance tasks including basic repairs, inspections, and equipment checks. Support senior technicians with diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical or structural issues. Respond to maintenance requests and help maintain equipment in safe operating conditions. Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards. Document maintenance activities, equipment issues, and parts used. Maintain tools, workshop areas, and storage spaces in an organised manner. Learn to use and care for various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Participate in ongoing training programs to build technical skills and knowledge. Core Competencies: Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or building systems. Knowledge of general maintenance Working knowledge of tools Problem solving skills Manual Dexterity and physical strength to handle tools, carry out repairs and installations. Good IT skills and able to use maintenance related software such as CMMS. Shifts and Pay Rates Monday to Thursday - 0800-1630 Friday - 0800-1300 12.50 per hour Benefits Canteen Overtime available.
