Facility Sales Officer Department Sports Development & Recreation Salary Starting from 26,707, rising to 30,378 pro rata Closing date Thursday 04 December 2025 The Department of Sports Development and Recreation at the University of Bath seeks to utilise the power of sport to foster the best environment to enable individuals to thrive. The Department manages and organises a range of activities under the Universitys sports brand - Team Bath - and aspires to create a world leading multi-sport environment delivering to elite athletes, staff, and students of the University and the local and regional community. Based in the inspiring 35m Sports Training Village, the Department offers a wide range of high-quality sports activities, programmes, events, services, and facilities catering for all ages and abilities. In addition, we are recognised by UK Sport as one of only eight Elite Training Centres, providing the training base for around 250 international level athletes. About the role We wish to appoint someone who shares this same people-focussed approach to join our Facility Sales team. This is a commercially-focussed role and as such we want to find somebody who is target-focussed and has the drive to seek new business and customers to utilise our exciting sports facilities. Equally, there is a need to build meaningful relationships with existing clients to retain business and to grow our reputation. Whilst you will have individual areas of responsibility, a team-based approach is essential to ensure the business of the team runs efficiently and that you perform well in the role. About you Our diverse customer groups include the vibrant student population (both individuals and clubs), university staff, high performance athletes and their supporting NGBs (National Governing Bodies), the local community (individuals and clubs) and visiting professional sports teams. The successful candidate will need to: - find creative solutions to support the needs of all of these groups - prospect for new business - provide good customer experience and retention of business to drive commercial success - drive new summer facility opportunities - complete administration and financial tasks Further information This is a part-time role working 29.2 hours per week (0.8 fte) spread equally throughout the working week (Monday to Friday) for a fixed-term period to cover parental leave until December 2026.
