Nursery Chef Location: E11 1ED Salary: 13.76 to 14.40 depending on experience and knowledge Hours: 35 Contract Type: Permanent We are looking for a nursery chef who is passionate about planning and providing healthy and nutritious food for children. As a nursery chef you will: Develop and plan seasonal and delicious menus (main meals and snacks) for the children, ensuring they are nutritious, healthy and follow government guidelines Be experienced in ensuring childrens dietary needs, particularly serious allergies, are met Manage the weekly food ordering and stock rotation/control Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and organisation Adhere to food hygiene policies, standard operating processes and legislation Relevant Food and Hygiene qualifications A strong focus on safeguarding and care for young children Be involved in helping children to learn early and basic cooking skills and healthy eating choices Have high standards of personal hygiene Good communication skills and an enthusiastic team player Qualifications and Training: Food and Hygiene Level 2 and 3 Allergy and intolerances training Experience: Nursery Chef: 2 years (Required) Staff benefits include: FREE uniform Staff canteen and staff rest room Tea, Coffee and Treats provided in our staff canteen Funded training Comprehensive induction and in-house training for CPD Reward and recognition bonus scheme Pension Vibrant, high street location All positions are subject to an enhanced DBS Check, 2 references and proof of right to work in the UK.
