Just Recruitment is recruiting for a Design Technician for a client based in Ipswich, Suffolk. Working as part of the wider technical department, the purpose of the Design Technician role is to produce, check and process technical drawings. The ideal candidate will come from a construction/architectural background and have working knowledge of CAD and excellent computer literacy proficiency. Duties include: Produce, check and process incoming design drawing requests, technical documentation and technical calculations. Liaise with clients and Area Technical Managers. Deal with telephone and email enquiries. Keep up to date with of Part L & Thermal Calculations. Keep up to date with Industry Codes of Practice & Building Regulations. Essential key Experience & skill: Basic level CAD experience Ability to read and understand architectural drawings Advance level of grammar and spelling Monday - Friday (9:00am - 5:00pm) end of year bonus and an excellent benefits package Hybrid Working available after successful completion of probationary period (min. of 3 days in the office, up to 2 days at home).
