Trade Waste Driver 7.5 Tonne Licence Required Location: HD1 Hours: MondayThursday (5:30am2:30pm), Friday (5:30am11:30am) 39.5 hours per week Salary: 12.59 per hour, paid weekly - every Friday Contract: Temporary until 30th January (potential to extend) About the Role We're looking for a skilled and reliable Trade Waste Driver to join our team. This is a hands-on driving role where you'll play a key part in delivering essential waste collection services to businesses and households across the region. You'll be responsible for driving vehicles up to and including 7.5 tonne HGVs , ensuring compliance with all legal and safety requirements. The role also involves supporting collection schedules, operating lifting equipment, and maintaining high standards of service and professionalism. What We're Looking For Valid 7.5 Tonne Licence Current Driver Qualification Card (DQC) 35 hours CPC training completed within the last 5 years Ability to carry out physically demanding work (lifting, bending, walking) Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance standards Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Key Responsibilities Drive HGV vehicles and mechanical sweepers in line with traffic regulations and safety legislation Collect trade waste, refuse, and skips from households and businesses Complete vehicle checks, maintain records, and use in-cab technology Ensure correct use of lifting equipment and disposal arrangements Provide clear instructions and support to colleagues to maintain performance standards Represent the business positively when interacting with the public JDRCC JDR is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
