This role suits a graduate who wants proper, hands-on experience in education and is confident supporting children who need a little extra help to access learning. What you will be doing Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 and small group basis Helping children stay focused, calm and engaged in lessons Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO to follow support plans and interventions Supporting learning, communication and social development through the school day Being a steady, positive presence for pupils who rely on routine and encouragement Who this is for You must have a UK university degree and be able to commit for the whole academic year. The school is looking for someone who is: Patient, reliable and calm under pressure Interested in long term work within education Happy to take advice, learn quickly and get stuck in Confidence around children with SEN is a bonus, whether that is from school based experience, tutoring, youth work or voluntary roles Pay and hours 12.22 per hour 6.5 hours per day Full time, term time only Progression There is genuine long-term potential here.
