Job Description (Summary) - Lead daily teaching and learning for a Year 1 class, delivering an engaging and well-structured KS1 curriculum. - Plan, assess and track pupil progress effectively, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged. - Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence and confidence. - Work closely with colleagues across the federation, contributing to best practice. - Engage confidently with parents and carers as part of a strong home-school partnership. Person Specification - Qualified Teacher Status (or pending for ECTs). - Strong understanding of KS1 pedagogy and child development. - Ability to build warm, supportive relationships with pupils and families. - Commitment to safeguarding, equality and high-quality teaching. - Experience in KS1 or early primary phases. - Confidence using assessment to inform next steps and personalise learning. - A reflective, proactive approach to professional development.
