About the Role We are looking for caring, adaptable and motivated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Liverpool. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will support in either Nurture bases or provide 1:1 support in mainstream Primary Schools. You will be working with pupils with a variety of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). Key Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant - Provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO. - Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies. - Support the recording and monitoring of pupils progress and achievements. To be an SEN Teaching Assistant - Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based or similar setting). - Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Teaching Assistance, Childcare, or a related field (Level 3 desirable). - Are patient, compassionate and committed to supporting childrens learning and wellbeing. - Can work flexibly across different school environments. - Have strong communication skills and work well as part of a team.
