Teacher of Girls Physical Education (Maternity Cover) Location: Cheshunt Salary: MPS/UPS + Fringe Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (1 Year Maternity Cover) About the Role We are working in partnership with a highly successful secondary academy in Hertfordshire to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Girls Physical Education for a one-year maternity cover starting in January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive PE department that delivers a broad curriculum including Core PE, GCSE PE, and BTEC Sport, alongside a thriving extra-curricular programme. Key Responsibilities - Teach PE across Key Stages 3-5, inspiring and motivating students to achieve their best. - Promote healthy lifestyles and a love for physical activity. - Contribute to the school's extensive extra-curricular sports programme. What We're Looking For - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and strong subject knowledge in PE. - Ability to teach and engage girls across all key stages. - A positive, proactive approach and excellent communication skills. - Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
