Business Development ExecutiveSalary: £44,000 – £46,000Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm (42.5 hours per week)Location: Kennington, SE11We are looking for a driven and commercially focused Business Development Executive to join our branch in Kennington. This role is a key position within the business, responsible for delivering sales growth, increasing margins, and strengthening our presence in the local market. New Business DevelopmentIdentify and engage potential customers within the local area.Create tailored proposals and solutions to meet client requirements.Build a strong pipeline through networking, cold outreach, and site visits.Promote the branch’s products and services to increase sales activity and visibility.2. Account ManagementDevelop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing customers.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring prompt and effective support.Monitor customer satisfaction and take proactive action to resolve issues.Implement strategies to reduce customer churn and enhance loyalty3. Sales & Margin GrowthMeet and exceed branch sales and margin targets.Stay informed on market trends and competitor movements to identify opportunities.Work closely with the branch team to deliver excellent customer experiences.Develop pricing strategies and negotiate terms to maximise profitability.Requirements:Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management—within builders merchants or the construction sector.Strong commercial understanding with a firm grasp of sales and margin drivers.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.Highly proactive, self-motivated, and target-driven.Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.Knowledge of the local market and customer base is advantageous.
