Job Type: Science Technician Location: Barking and Dagenham Salary: £16-18 Per hour Hours: Full Time, Permanent Starts: as soon as possible About the role: Are you passionate about science and keen to support the next generation of scientists? Complete classroom services are seeking a dynamic and well-organised Science Technician to join a school that is supportive and forward-thinking Science in Department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring high-quality science education for our students. The successful candidate will support the delivery of practical science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and SEN school we are working with to maintain a safe, well-resourced, and engaging environment for both students and teachers. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and set up equipment, materials and chemicals for practical science lessons * Support teaching staff during practical lessons and demonstrations * Ensure safe storage, maintenance, and disposal of equipment and chemicals * Maintain laboratory cleanliness and adhere to all health and safety regulations * Keep accurate inventories of stock and place orders when required * Assist with the organisation of displays and resources for open evenings and science events The ideal candidate will: * Have previous experience working in a school (preferred) * Possess good knowledge of safe lab practices and COSHH regulations * Be organised, reliable and proactive with strong attention to detail * Work effectively as part of a team and independently * Hold a science-related qualification (A-level or higher desirable) Why work with complete classroom services? * The school we work with are well-respected and oversubscribed school in the heart of Barking and Dagenham * A supportive and collaborative science department with excellent facilities * Opportunities for professional development and training * A school community that values academic excellence and student wellbeing * we support your through your vetting process.
