Click here to read about The Greggs PledgeColleague Networks – internal groups where colleagues and their allies can share their own experiences, offer feedback on the way we do things at Greggs, and provide support to one anotherAbout the roleThis is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be consideredWe know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their roleThe base location for this role is Greggs Balliol, Longbenton, Newcastle Upon TyneWhat you'll doAs a Quality Assurance Technician, you’ll:Ensure food safety and quality standards are maintained across the siteSupport managers and operators in their responsibility to Food Safety and QualityEvaluate process controls during production to ensure they comply with agreed specifications and proceduresComplete quality checks in line with product specifications, QAS and organoleptic requirementsComplete and update the site microbiological, chemical and allergen sampling schedules to ensure safety of productsOwn the management of non-conforming products, QA Holds and product releasesOrganise and completion of raw material intake checks against group specificationsComplete annual CCP validation checks of all Critical Control Points on siteCarry out and update audits e.g., BRC Internal audits, Glass & Plastic, CCP, GMP inspections and product & processMonitor equipment performance and control through internal calibration of scales and thermometers to ensure complianceAssist with customer complaint investigationsAmend factory process control documentationAbout youWe are looking for individuals who have drive, and can demonstrate:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong skills in planning, prioritising, and organisingMulti-tasking and working with multiple priorities at pace, delivering results within tight timescalesThe ability to communicate and influence at all levelsThe ability to build strong cross functional relationshipsThe ability to work independently and as part of a small teamInitiative and the ability to see tasks through to completionEnjoy being part of a hard-working team, sharing the same end goal, and celebrating results togetherAre supportive of an inclusive culture – recognising and valuing that difference is goodWant to develop and are ready to work alongside some great people and have lots of fun on your Greggs journey!About GreggsHere at Greggs, we love what we do, and we have fun!
