We strive hard to provide our customers with products that deliver outstanding performance on all parameters.Job PurposeThe opportunity comes as part of our growth plans, to develop more resource and support for the sales team and create efficiencies.The role supports the design, development and installation of innovative playground schemes by producing high-quality CAD drawings and technical documentation. The CAD Technician will play a key role in producing and pricing creative concepts that meet safety standards and client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret client briefs, site surveys, and drawings to deliver creative, functional, and cost-effective 2D design solutions and quotationsCollaborate with sales and wider design teams to ensure feasibility and complianceEnsure all drawings adhere to relevant safety standards (e.g., BS EN 1176/1177)Maintain drawing archives and CAD libraries to align with KOMPAN process standardsIdentify and resolve design errors and design efficiencies, collaborating with internal teams, through clear communication and handoverSkills & ExperienceExperience in AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D desirable) and/or Revit (desirable) Experience in landscape, architectural, or product design - preferably in playground or outdoor leisure sectorsUnderstanding of levels and cut/fill desirable Ability to read and interpret architectural drawingsKnowledge of UK playground safety standards is advantageousExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsStrong communication, teamwork and collaborative abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesYour profileYou have a design related degree, e.g. product designer, graphic designer, interior design You are proficient in AutoCADAbility to balance technical accuracy with commercial awareness and creativityA proactive, problem-solving mindset, always looking to improve efficiencies and positively influence KOMPAN through a collaborative approachYou are a team player with an ambition to learn and develop new skillsYou are sociable, helpful role model for the design team with a can-do attitude and a positive outlookA good communicatorPassion for play, outdoor environments, and inclusive designWe offer attractive terms of employment and a position in an international company with opportunity for growth across the group as well as our local UK business, valuing staff retention.KOMPAN is an equal opportunity employer and encourages all to apply.
