OXBO are working with an established international renewable energy IPP who are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join their growing UK team based in London.This company is behind some of the most exciting utility-scale solar, battery storage, and hybrid energy projects across the UK and Europe. With significant financial backing and a clear long-term strategy for sustainable growth, they offer the opportunity to make a real impact on the country’s net zero ambitions.The RoleAs Planning Manager, you’ll take responsibility for all planning and consenting activities across a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects. You’ll work closely with the internal development team and external consultants to secure planning approvals efficiently and strategically.Key responsibilities include:Managing the full planning process from site selection through to consentPreparing, submitting and managing planning applications for renewable energy projectsCoordinating EIAs, LVAs, and other technical reports with external consultantsEngaging proactively with planning authorities, communities, and key stakeholdersSupporting project design and optimisation from a planning and environmental perspectiveAdvising on planning policy, risks, and mitigation strategiesAbout YouYou’ll be a Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) with a proven track record of successfully delivering planning consents for renewable or infrastructure projects. You’ll have strong communication and influencing skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to navigate complex planning challenges with confidence.You’ll likely bring:4+ years’ experience in the UK planning systemIn-depth knowledge of the UK planning system and renewable energy policyExperience managing consultants and multi-disciplinary project teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving
