A Snapshot of Your DayYou will lead the Civil Construction (CC) function across global energy infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality and cost-conscious execution of construction, installation, and commissioning activities. Your day involves strategic leadership, operational oversight, and driving excellence in compliance, safety, and performance.How You’ll Make An ImpactDefine and implement the Civil Construction strategy aligned with Siemens Energy’s project execution framework and applicable standardsEstablish, maintain and foster standardized processes for civil site execution, including but not limited to planning, mobilization and demobilizationDrive innovation in civil site management practices and digitalization initiatives. Foster lessons learnt and good practice sharingDrive change and be part of the Siemens Energy transformationOversee the civil construction scope across all project phases and ensure robust bid strategiesDevelop and enforce global standards for civil works for energy infrastructure works such as HVDC and FACTSDevelop, foster and monitor global performance metrics for safety, cost, schedule, and quality for the assigned responsibilitiesAct as the interface between Siemens Energy and stakeholders for all Civil Construction mattersRepresent Civil Construction in cross-functional meetings and strategic planning sessions and promote cross functional exchangesEnsure transparent communication of risks, opportunities, and lessons learned across projects and through all stages of the projectEnforce Siemens Energy’s Zero Harm philosophy and EHS regulations on all sitesEnsure contractual compliance and alignment with global standards for HVDC and other energy infrastructure projectsDrive recruitment, onboarding, training and development of Civil Site personnelEmpower teams through training and mentoring, fostering a culture of safety, ownership and continuous improvementEnsure transparent communication throughout the project, on project status, risks, opportunities and other project impactsWhat You BringDegree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; advanced certifications preferredProven track record in people management, building high performing teams and driving change supported by strong networking ability, communication and strong stakeholder management skillsLong term experience in site and project management for large-scale EPC projects in energy or industrial sectorsEager and curious to learn and actively seek feedback impulses from inside and outside the organizationAbility to live and foster team culturesDeep understanding of project execution with site focus including contract, risk mitigation, and cost controlExperience w/ working across various functions within a multi-national corporationFluency in English; additional languages are a plusWillingness to travel internationallyAbout The TeamOur Grid Technology division enables a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid.
