IFS Supply Chain ConsultantPosition Title:IFS Supply Chain ConsultantDepartment:ERP / Digital Transformation / OperationsReports To:ERP Program Manager / Head of Business Systems / Supply Chain DirectorRole PurposeThe IFS Supply Chain Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing the IFS Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules to improve end-to-end supply chain efficiency. This role involves translating business requirements into IFS solutions, aligning system functionality with business processes such as procurement, inventory, planning, manufacturing supply, logistics, and warehouse operations. The consultant ensures that IFS supports operational excellence, cost control, and timely delivery performance.Key Responsibilities1. Functional Design & ImplementationAnalyze supply chain processes (procure-to-pay, plan-to-produce, order-to-deliver) and map them to IFS functionality.Configure IFS SCM modules including:Procurement & SourcingInventory & Warehouse ManagementMaterials Requirement Planning (MRP) & Production PlanningDemand Planning & ForecastingSales & Operations Planning (S&OP)Supplier Collaboration & Vendor ManagementLogistics & DistributionConduct fit/gap analysis and develop functional specifications.2. Process OptimizationRecommend improvements to supply chain workflows using IFS best practices.Support strategic initiatives such as inventory optimization, lead time reduction, and cost efficiency.Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reports to monitor supply chain performance.3. Testing & Data ManagementPrepare test plans and scripts for system validation.Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and issue resolution.Assist with data migration, cleansing, and validation for master data (items, suppliers, BOMs, warehouses, etc.).4. Training & DocumentationDeliver end-user training for procurement, warehouse, and planning teams.Create functional and process documentation, user guides, and SOPs.Support change management to ensure system adoption.5. Post-Go-Live SupportProvide hypercare and troubleshooting support.Monitor system usage and process adherence.Identify enhancements and continuous improvement opportunities.6. Collaboration & Stakeholder EngagementWork closely with supply chain managers, planners, procurement teams, and finance.Liaise with technical teams for integrations, reporting, and customizations.Partner with IFS technical consultants and vendors when required.Skills & CompetenciesFunctional ExpertiseStrong experience in IFS SCM modules (Procurement, Inventory, Planning, MRP, Logistics).Deep understanding of supply chain processes and best practices.Knowledge of warehouse management, material planning, and demand forecasting.Technical UnderstandingAbility to work with data migration, integration, and reporting tools.Understanding of IFS system architecture and module interdependencies.Soft SkillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management.Ability to document processes and deliver training effectively.Project-focused, organized, and detail-oriented.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or IT-related field.3–8+ years of experience in IFS SCM or ERP supply chain modules.Experience with IFS Cloud or IFS Applications (8/9/10).Hands-on experience with SCM process improvements and system implementations.ERP project experience across multi-site or global organizations is advantageous.IFS certification (preferred but not essential).
