About the CompanyA rapidly growing UK-based healthtech company is building smarter, tech-enabled solutions to improve health outcomes through personalised digital care.Remember to check your CV before applying Also, ensure you read through all the requirements related to this role.They are looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to join their team and take the lead on building out customer engagement and retention features across their mobile app. This includes everything from daily tracking and push notifications to weekly check-ins and in-app content delivery.This is a high-impact, product-facing role where youll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features that support users on their health journey and drive long-term engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain key customer-facing features within the React Native mobile app, such as:Daily/weekly check-insProgress trackingMessaging and support interfacesIn-app content deliveryAdd-on purchase flowsTranslate behavior change models into simple, user-friendly mobile experiencesContribute to architectural decisions and codebase best practicesMonitor performance and proactively resolve bugs, crashes, and UX challengesRequired Skills & Experience4+ years in software engineering, with at least 2 years of hands-on React Native experienceStrong proficiency in TypeScript, React Native, GraphQL, and ExpoExperience deploying apps to the App Store and Google Play, with OTA updatesFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating third-party SDKsTrack record of building high-quality mobile UIs and user experiencesStrong understanding of mobile testing (unit, integration, E2E)Retention & Product SkillsExperience working on products with an emphasis on user retention, engagement, or behavior changeKnowledge of push notification strategies, xjdpvnf in-app messaging, and customer lifecycle designComfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Clinical, etc.)Skilled in writing clear technical specs and documentationPreferredBackground in healthtech or consumer wellness appsFamiliarity with tools like Braze, PostHog, StripeKnowledge of privacy frameworks (e.g. GDPR), especially around notifications and tracking consentPlease note applicants must be UK citizens or hold ILR to be considered for this opportunity
