SEND Teaching Assistant Daily Rate: £90 - £110 (dependent on experience)Location: Norwood, LondonJob Type: Full-time We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school. This full-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who have special educational needs and disabilities, helping to make a significant difference in their educational journey. Day-to-day of the role: Support students with special educational needs and disabilities in both classroom settings and one-to-one sessions.Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.Collaborate with teachers and other staff to facilitate a supportive and effective learning environment.Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.Manage small groups of students to ensure they remain engaged and on task.Provide feedback to teachers and parents on student progress and behaviour.Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and the setup of the classroom.Help manage any behavioural or emotional issues in a sensitive and effective manner. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEND students.Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students with additional needs.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
