As an Assistant Buyer within the Refrigeration, Dishwashers & Seasonal team, you will be working within one of the biggest categories in MDA, building relationships with brands like Bosch, Samsung and Beko. This role will be responsible for managing the range at product level, working closely with the Senior Buyer, Merchandising, Online and GTM teams to drive sales and profitability of the categories. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has a sharp eye for detail, who enjoys working in busy environments and with the ability to work autonomously. Key Responsibilities: Helping to manage supplier relationships in line with the category strategy Selecting and negotiating product ranges and pricing Keeping tabs on the competition so we can set competitive prices Analysing trading performance and recommending actions to drive our business Support the Senior Buyer in negotiating product ranges - cost pricing, additional terms, exclusivity, distribution, stock availability Pricing the product range in line with agreed category CPI targets You will need: 1-2 years' experience of being part of a buying function (as an Assistant Buyer or Administrator) and a great working knowledge of technical products Excellent communication and relationship building skills To be organised, analytical and numerate with good judgment Strong commercial awareness and a sense of customer needs Proficiency in Excel Why join us: We know our people are the secret to our success.
