Lead Hardware / Electrical Engineer Staffordshire (Hybrid)Do you enjoy leading engineering projects from concept through to delivery?Are you confident designing control panels, cabling systems and wider EC&I solutions?Looking for a role with variety, responsibility and the flexibility of hybrid working?What's in it for you?Fantastic basic salary 28 days holiday plus bank holidaysHybrid working Flexible start & finish times / 37.5 hour week Training and development6.5% Pension schemeLife Assurance (4x annual salary)Private healthcareWhat will you be doing?Leading and driving project teams through the full EC&I design lifecycleReviewing and approving designs developed by engineering colleaguesInterpreting customer drawings, specifications and supplied dataProducing and modifying design packs, including GAs, schematics, wiring diagrams and cable drawingsDesigning control systems focused on PLC-based control panels, cabling, MCCs, drives, controls and switchgearCarrying out site surveys and contributing to health and safety documentationProducing client and project documentation such as FDS, test documents and manualsSupporting SAT, commissioning activities and the development of tenders and cost estimatesWhere you'll be doing itYou'll join a specialist engineering team delivering advanced control and electrical systems across the thermal and hydro power generation sector, with work also spanning other regulated environments. The role is hybrid, with travel to customer sites when required.What you'll needExperience delivering EC&I or control system design in the energy or utilities sectorStrong understanding of field cabling systems, routing, sizing and earthingCompetent control panel designer with experience of PLCs, I/O, comms hardware and UPS systemsDegree or HND in a relevant discipline with suitable post-qualification experienceAble to interpret customer requirements and produce accurate documentationUnderstanding of the full project lifecycleFull UK driving licence and ability to obtain Disclosure Scotland clearanceWe appreciate your CV may not be up to date.
