Job Title: Plant Fitter Location: Bordon, Hampshire (commutable from Alton, Farnham, Petersfield and surrounding areas) Salary: Competitive basic + overtime + benefits Job Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the Role We are working with an independent machinery business in Hampshire that specialises in forestry and heavy plant equipment. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Plant Fitter to join the team and help keep customers machines running safely and efficiently.You will work on a mix of forestry machinery, attachments and general plant, spending time both in the workshop and out on customer sites.What you will be doingServicing, maintaining and repairing forestry and plant machineryDiagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faultsAttending breakdowns on customer sites and carrying out efficient repairsCarrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenancePreparing new and used machines for sale or hire, including PDI and setupCompleting job cards, service reports and parts usage accuratelyWorking safely at all times and following company health and safety proceduresThe types of kit you will work onChippers, mulchers, stump grinders, flails and other forestry machineryExcavators and ancillary plantHydraulic attachments and associated equipmentWhat we are looking forExperience as a Plant Fitter, Service Engineer, Agricultural Engineer, HGV Fitter or similarStrong mechanical and hydraulic knowledgeAbility to fault find and work through repairs methodicallyComfortable working independently on customer sitesFull UK driving licencePositive attitude, good communication skills and pride in your workmanshipNice to have (not essential)Experience with forestry or agricultural machineryRelevant qualifications such as NVQ / City & Guilds in Plant, Agricultural, HGV or similarBasic electrical fault finding experienceWhat is on offerCompetitive salary depending on experienceOvertime opportunitiesPension and holidaysOngoing training on specialist equipmentChance to join a growing, well-respected business working with interesting machineryTPBN1_UKTJ
