We have apprentices at 4 centres with 4 different pathways offered. The department has staff that look after different areas of apprenticeships.This Training Officer role is one of the critical roles in this growing and busy department.Main Responsibilities:Tasks specific to the Job Role:Carry out initial advice with employer and apprenticeCarry out induction programme with apprentices at the start of the programmeBe responsible for ensuring a good level of employer engagement via regular contact and through a progress reviewFeedback to the AOM employer needs and requirements from regular meetingsOversee the apprentices skill building in center and in the workplaceFeedback to the employer on the progress of the planned programmeEnsure Progress reviews are carried out every 12 weeks maximumBuild a portfolio with the apprentice, supporting them with advice and guidance to enable them to complete all mandatory elements of the programmeEnsure each apprentice is working in line with their individual learning plan and meet the requirements for off the job hoursEnsure the apprentice has a good level of knowledge, skills, and behaviours to reach gateway by the end of the practical period end dateAct as conduit between training provider and employer/ApprenticeEnsure all gateway requirements have been met including mandatory elements of the training programme, English and MathsAction plan poor performance and report this to AOM and employerComplete documentation when a Break in Learning is neededComplete withdrawal paperwork where requiredEnsure timely success rates are achievedEnsure high quality of provision can be evidenced for Ofsted inspection including the support a Training Officer gives to each apprenticeSupport learners with learning needs and ensure this is effectively put in placeSupport the apprentice through gateway to End Point AssessmentGive initial advice and guidance to new apprentices and employersBe the single point of contact on a daily basis with the employer and apprenticeEnsure the apprentices welfare, safeguarding and Prevent knowledge is to a high levelEnsure the apprentice is kept safe in the workplace and issues are reported straight awayAbout You:What youll needIt is expected that the candidate will come from an electrical installation / maintenance / engineering background and hold relevant up to date qualifications along with experience within the field of electrical installation / maintenance.The following Qualifications and Skills are essential for the job role:Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication skillsA sound knowledge of Apprenticeships5+ Year Industry experience of electrical installationAssessors A1/TAQA Level 3Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with individuals at all levelsAbility to develop accessible learning materials for their studentsIT literacy with a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office programsDesirable Qualifications and SkillsThe following Qualifications and Skills are desirable for the job role:Internal Quality Assurance V1/TAQA L4We are committed to the safe recruitment, selection and vetting of all staff, including the checking of application forms and the obtaining of references.
