About the Role:We are currently seeking a Resident Maintenance Engineer to join our on-site team at a high-profile automated warehouse in Thatcham. This hands-on role is key to ensuring the reliability and performance of a fast-moving, automated intralogistics environment.Reporting to the Resident Maintenance Site Supervisor, you will carry out both planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs, working closely with the on-site team and customer to maintain operational efficiency.The role follows a Panama shift pattern (24/7 rotation), alternating between 06:0018:00 and 18:0006:00, averaging 42 hours per week. Starting salary: £55,100 rising to £58,000 after probation, plus benefits.Key Requirements:Level 3 qualification (ONC/HNC/BTEC/NVQ) in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringTime-served apprenticeship in a relevant disciplineMulti-skilled (Electrical/Mechanical); PLC and CMMS experience desirableExperience with automated materials handling systemsComfortable working at heightStrong communication and problem-solving skillsHealth & Safety qualifications are a plusMain Responsibilities:Perform maintenance and fault-finding on automated handling equipmentDeliver PPM and reactive tasks to high standardsLog activities in the CMMS systemWork closely with the customer to resolve issues and improve system reliabilityContribute to continuous improvement and safety initiativesAbout Us:Wills Consultants is an independent recruitment consultancy specialising in engineering, finance and office professionals.
