An excellent opportunity for an experienced Stores & Logistics Operative to join a well-established companyJob Type: 12 Month Maternity Cover - Fixed Term/Full-Time (38hrs per week).Salary: £12.28 Per Hour.Location: Newtown SY16.Requirements: Candidate must hold a full UK driving licence.About The Company:They are one of the UKs leading manufacturers and suppliers of a wide range of quality products for luxury marine craft and safety products and hardware.Based across 3 sites in Mid-Wales, they are a medium sized business employing over 100 permanent members of staff. The company prides itself in the ability to design and manufacture engineering innovative and contemporary products and the use of quality materials.About The Role:This role will support the accurate and timely movement of goods within the companys stores and despatch functions. This includes the receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of materials and finished products, ensuring all processes meet required quality, efficiency, and safety standards.This is a fixed-term role for 12 months to provide maternity cover within the Stores and Logistics team.Responsibilities:Accurately pick and dispatch works orders to production cells using Kardex systemsBag, label, and store finished goods in accordance with company proceduresReceive and book goods into stock, ensuring accurate system entries for internal and supplier deliveriesPerform visual and basic quality inspections of incoming goodsMaintain clean, safe, and organised goods in and despatch areasLiaise with the Quality Engineer regarding non-conforming or damaged goodsEnsure correct stock recording and storage within the Kardex automated storage systemsPrepare and issue shipping documentation for both domestic and international shipmentsCoordinate with freight forwarders and couriers to schedule collections and deliveriesMaintain accurate shipping and stock information within company systemsFollow all health, safety, and environmental procedures relevant to stores and logistics activitiesSupport other operations functions as required to meet business needsCandidate Requirements:Education / QualificationsForklift or handling equipment certification desirable.Essential Knowledge / Skills / ExperienceExperience in a stores, logistics, or warehouse environment.Strong organisational skills and attention to puter literate with experience using stock management systems.Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines.Desirable Knowledge / Skills / ExperienceExperience with Kardex or similar automated storage systems.Knowledge of export documentation and courier booking.Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor).Behaviours / CompetenciesReliable, self-motivated, and proactive.Strong teamwork and communication mitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.Other RequirementsWillingness to work flexibly to meet business pany Benefits:Competitive SalaryOn-site ParkingCompany sick pay after 2 years22 days holidays plus Bank Holidays for first year, increases with serviceFlexitimeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCash Plan SchemeCompany PensionIf you feel that you have the relative skills/attributes to fulfil this role then please apply now for immediate consideration.The employer fully supports Equality in Employment.
