Commissioning Engineer – Stone & Client Sites – Permanent – Market RelatedAbout the RoleVIQU is partnering with a leading energy and industrial systems business to recruit a Commissioning Engineer. The role will focus on testing, commissioning, and supporting electrical Automation and Control Systems, from minor modifications to full new or replacement systems. The successful candidate will work across the Stone Head Office and client sites around the UK, leading site visits, interpreting designs, and contributing to commissioning documentation.Key Responsibilities Conduct site acceptance testing (SAT) and factory acceptance testing (FAT) in line with approved documentationProvide technical supervision of installation works on client sites.Develop, review, and maintain commissioning and test documentation.Deploy and verify configuration files for SCADA BCUs, RTUs, PLCs, IEDs, and network devices.Manage commissioning spares and test equipment, ensuring electrical safety and LOTO compliance.Carry out fault finding on electrical and electronic systems, documenting and resolving issues. Key Requirements Qualified or experienced in Electrical Engineering.Strong understanding of Test & Commissioning methodology and fault-finding experience.Experience with SCADA systems and National Grid substations or similar environments.Knowledge of communication networks and protocols (Ethernet, fibre, serial copper).BS7671 18th Edition and C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing qualifications.Full UK driver's licence and willingness to travel.Strong communication and teamwork skills; structured and analytical approach.
