This hands-on role involves precision assembly, inspection, and testing of pyrotechnic components that form a vital part of our life-saving systems.What Youll Be DoingYoull play a key part in the manufacturing of cartridges and rocket motors ensuring everything meets our strict safety and quality standards. Typical responsibilities include:Operating digital radiography (DR) and CT systems to detect anomalies or incorrect assembly in line with company procedures.Setting up and analysing proof-firing tests on cartridges and rocket motors.Using mass spectrometry to measure helium escapement against defined limits.Conducting detailed visual inspections and inkjet marking products with batch and part data.Building low-complexity cartridges and preparing licensed packaging for customer shipment.Transporting and organising components, tooling, and assemblies across departments.Contributing to risk assessments, audits, and maintaining a culture of explosive safety.About YouWere looking for a hands-on, safety-conscious individual with a strong mechanical mindset and a passion for precision.Youll have:Experience in a similar NDT or technical roleExperience with digital X-ray systemsLevel 1 ASNT Radiography certification(desirable)Familiarity with NAS 410 or equivalent standardsA willingness to work flexibly across packing, assembly, and machining when requiredWhats In It For YouAt Martin-Baker, we take care of our people.
