Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while making a positive impact on children's lives. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure the highest standards of childcare and education are maintained.ResponsibilitiesPlanning and delivering engaging activities that support children's developmental needs in line with early childhood education standardsSupervising children at all times to ensure their safety and well-beingBuilding strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communicationOrganising daily routines, including mealtimes, playtimes, and rest periodsMonitoring and recording children's progress and behaviour, providing feedback to parents and senior staffAssisting with the organisation of nursery resources and maintaining a clean, safe environmentSupporting new staff members through mentoring and leadership roles when requiredEnsuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all timesDriving responsibilities may include transporting children safely to outings or activities as neededRequirementsProven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare settingStrong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectivelyKnowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stagesExcellent communication skills in English, both verbal and writtenAbility to organise activities that promote learning through playChildcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent are desirableValid driving licence is preferred for transportation dutiesCompassionate, patient, and attentive approach to childcare responsibilitiesThis role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood development who wish to contribute positively within a supportive team environment.
