Youll be: Attending roadside breakdowns of cars and vansRecovering and transporting vehicles to garages or customers homesProviding calm, reassuring customer service in stressful situationsWorking outdoors in all weather, independently and professionallyNo multi-drops. Who Were Looking For We welcome: Experienced HGV Class 2 drivers Newly passed Class 2 drivers with strong large vehicle/commercial experience This role suits drivers who: Enjoy helping people, not just moving freight Want variety and problem-solving instead of repetitive routes Can stay calm and professional when customers are stressed or worried Require a permanent night shift Requirements Licence: HGV Class 2 (LGV C) or aboveMax 6 points for minor offencesNo DD / DR / CD endorsementsDriver Cards & Compliance: Valid Driver CPCDigital tachograph cardGood knowledge of Drivers Hours and complianceExperience & Skills: Prefer 1-year HGV driving experience however will accept freshly passed HGV drivers who have previous experience in either 7.5T vehicles or buses / coachesConfident dealing with the publicAble to work in all weather conditionsSelf-motivated and calm under pressureTraining Provided:Full paid induction and training Week 1Birmingham: classroom and practical training Week 2Walsall: further technical and operational training Week 3Local depot: on-the-job training and mentoring All travel, accommodation and food expenses are paid during the first two weeks. Shifts: 5on / 3off day shift rotaAverage 44hours per week over the yearHours: 20:0006:00 (10paid hours including breaks) -Overtime isavailable at end of shifts and on extra daysPay: First 12 weeks: Basic: £14.88 per hour Overtime: £16.27 per hour OTE: £34,700 per year After 12 weeks worked (overtime rate increases in-line with Agency Workers Regulations (AWR)): Basic: £14.88 per hour Overtime: £28.00 per hour Night Uplift: £120.60 per week OTE: £41,000 per year Note: Some Recovery Patrols can earn up to £45,000+ depending on hours worked plus additional incentives.
