Were looking for aSenior Electrical & Electronic Design Engineerto join a forward-thinking engineering business in Poole. This role combineshands-on design, project leadership, and mentoringwithin a collaborative team developing bespoke test, measurement, and automation systems for high-reliability industries. Working alongside project managers, mechanical engineers, and software specialists, youll take technical ownership of electrical and electronic design from concept through to final build and test.Key Responsibilities:Lead and deliverelectrical and electronic designfor bespoke engineering projects. Generatedesign specifications, wiring schematics, and PCB layouts . Produce accuratecost estimates and technical documentation . Review and approve manufacturing drawing packs and ensure readiness for build. Providetechnical support and guidanceto less-experienced engineers. Liaise with customers to clarify requirements and ensure design intent is achieved. Work closely with manufacturing and test teams to resolve build or test queries. Supervise and participate inFactory and Site Acceptance Testingwhen required. Research, specify, and source components or materials for specialist projects. Stay up to date withindustry and design standardsto ensure compliance and innovation. About You:Degree or HND/HNC inElectrical or Electronic Engineering(or equivalent). Minimum5 years experiencein design and implementation of electrical or electronic systems. Strong knowledge ofanalogue and digital circuit design . Confident producingwiring diagrams, schematics, and documentationfor manufacture. Experience designingtest equipment or automation systems . Skilled communicator, comfortable engaging with internal teams and clients. Able to meetBPSS security clearancerequirements. Desirable: 18th Edition qualification.
