Design Manager Location:Oldham, Manchester (Onsite only) Salary:£65,000£75,000 benefits Hours:MonThu 07:4516:45, Fri 07:4512:45 (38 hours/week) Start Date:ASAP Are you an experienced mechanical design professional who has strong background in team management and development. Were looking for an experiencedDesign Managerto lead and develop a talented engineering team working on a diverse, bespoke product portfolio. This is a key position for someone who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to guide and support others. Design Manager Responsibilities: Acting as theprimary escalation pointfor 2 Senior Design Engineers and 1 Junior Engineer (soon to be 4 total) Providingtechnical leadership and design oversight , ensuring quality and compliance across projects Driving continuous improvement in design processes and standards Supporting the full design lifecyclefrom concept development through to production and manufacturing Collaborating closely with production teams to ensure smooth transition from design to build Working onsite in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Design Manager Required Experience: Minimum5 years mechanical design experience , ideally in regulated or precision engineering Strong 3D CAD skillsSolidEdge preferred (or similar) Proven ability tolead, mentor, and develop engineersat different experience levels British national with a valid British passport (due to export/trade restrictions) Within 1-hour commute of Oldham (onsite onlyno hybrid/remote) Design Manager Desirable Skills CFD experience (FLOEFD) Knowledge of GD&T principles Background in bespoke or low-to-mid volume manufacturing (200250 units/week) Exposure to flow performance evaluation or similar analysis tools What Youll Get Competitive salary: £65,000£75,000 (DOE) 25 days holiday bank holidays 4% matched pension contribution Opportunity toshape the team and grow into a senior leadership rolewith full support and training If this Design Manager role sounds like it could be a good fit for you then please reach out to me on: INDMAN Due to the high number of applications, we may not be able to respond to everyone individually.
