Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Lancaster Salary:£43,000 per annum Hours:Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm About the Role As aMultiskilled Maintenance Engineer , you'll be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of production equipment across both thefactory . This is a hands-on, varied role where your skills will be fully utilised - reducing downtime, improving repair times, and enhancing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Key Responsibilities for the maintenance engineer: Carrying outplanned preventative maintenance (PPM)and improvement activities. Supporting and commissioningnew equipment and projects . UsingCMMS systemsto plan, record, and manage maintenance tasks. Accurately reporting and documenting all maintenance activities. Conductingroot cause analysis (RCA)and implementing long-term corrective actions. Supportingoperator cross-skilling(e.g., lubrication, inspections, changeovers, minor repairs). Managingspare parts , conductingcriticality and obsolescence reviews , and streamlining stock control. Contributing tocontinuous improvement (CI)initiatives using tools such as5S, TPM, Asset Management, and Kaizen . Preparingweekly and monthly performance reports . About the maintenance engineer: A qualifiedMultiskilled Engineer , ideally with anelectrical bias Competent withfault finding, repair, and maintenanceon electrical systems and controls. Comfortable withbasic mechanical tasks , including changing belts, bearings, and using hand tools. Experienced inmanufacturing or process environments , with a focus on reliability and safety. Analytical, proactive, and motivated to drive continuous improvement.
