The successful candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in fabrication, assembly, and injection moulding processes. This role plays a vital part in ensuring tooling is set correctly, production runs efficiently, and product quality remains consistently high. Key DutiesTool ChangingSafely hang tools using company lifting equipment while following all SOPsInput machine parameters to ensure quality and expected cycle timesSet up required ancillary equipment (Conveyor, Granulator, Separator, Sprue Picker, bins, etc.)Tool Locations & ConditionMaintain accurate tooling register and ensure tools are stored correctlyPerform basic clean-down and maintenance on mould toolsEscalate tooling repairs or concerns to the Factory ManagerMaterialsKeep machines supplied with raw materials (including forklift operation)Maintain tidy, well-stocked masterbatch areas, avoiding contaminationReduce unnecessary scrap vs. costed BOMOutput MonitoringWork with Lead Packing Operative and review production board for workloadEnsure correct production quantities per job sheetMonitor cycle times and ensure sign-off is completed accuratelyProduct QualityFollow startup/shutdown procedures to maintain consistent product qualityPerform basic mechanical fault-finding to stabilise moulding processesReport equipment issues or material concerns to Factory ManagerKey Performance IndicatorsMachine cycle varianceMaterial consumption vs BOMMachine uptime %Customer complaintsRequired Experience & Background5+ years experience as a setter/technician in a busy injection moulding environmentIMT Level 2 qualifiedValid forklift licenceStrong attention to detail and adherence to expected cycle timesTPBN1_UKTJ
