If you want to be part of a leading infrastructure contractor, this is your opportunity to step into a commercially critical role on high-value civil engineering and rail projects that make a real impact.ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE Build and promote a strong culture of commercial awareness within the project teamEnsure compliance with company governance and proceduresProduce internal and client-facing commercial reportsPrepare valuations/applications for payment with supporting documentationCompile cost reports and ensure contractual complianceManage subcontractor and supplier accounts from requisitions through to final accountsLead on subcontract and material procurement schedulesAdminister contracts, including change management and risk identificationApply cost allocation and coding to meet internal/external requirementsMeasure works to standard methodsEngage positively with client representativesSupport, mentor and manage junior commercial staffABOUT YOU Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity SurveyingStrong civil engineering and/or rail background (rail experience preferred)Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or a Quantity SurveyorProfessional membership (RICS / ICES) or working towards chartershipSound understanding of NEC contracts and standard methods of measurementExcellent communication, negotiation and influencing skillsA full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites when required will be requiredSALARY AND BENEFITS Up to £65,000 basic salary with a discretionary bonusGenerous car allowance35 days holiday including bank holidays (with options to buy/sell).Generous contributory pension schemeLife AssuranceEnhanced sick payMedical InsuranceSupport for professional development and chartershipReference Number: PHS1 To be considered for this position or other opportunities, contact Tash Johnson at Equal Resourcing Ltd or click "Apply Now" Equal Resourcing Ltd is serving as a recruitment agency for this job opening.
