About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Chef to join a well-established venue basedin Oakham (LE15 7QB). The kitchen focuses on producing high-qualitytraditional British dishes, including classics such as scones, cakes, pastries, light lunches, and seasonal specials. This role offersgreat worklife balancewith no evening shifts, and the opportunity to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate. Due to the rural location and lack of public transport,candidates must have access to their own vehicle. ? Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook a range of traditional British dishes to a consistent, high standard.Produce fresh baked goods daily, includingscones, cakes, traybakes, pastries, and other café-style items.Support menu planning, specials, and seasonal offerings.Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness at all times.Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste management.Work efficiently during daytime service, ensuring smooth and timely food delivery.Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a positive customer experience.Contribute positively to the kitchen team with a flexible, can-do attitude.? RequirementsProven chef experience in a café, restaurant, hotel, or similar environment.Confidence preparing traditional British food and baked items.Strong understanding of food hygiene and allergen procedures.Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.Must have access to a cardue to location.Flexibility to work across aMondaySunday daytime rota.Reliable, organised, and passionate about quality food.?
