You’ll work across a range of departments, including Reception, Medical Records, Ward Admin, Imaging, Pre-Assessment, and occasionally Outpatients, so no two days are the same. If you’re organised, adaptable, and passionate about supporting patient care behind the scenes, we’d love to hear from you.Duties And ResponsibilitiesCover administrative duties across multiple departments when needed, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.Prepare, track, and securely store medical records for Outpatient, Pre-Assessment, and Admissions clinics.Support reception duties, including greeting patients and managing appointments.Assist with ward admin and imaging department tasks as required.Organise files for storage and archiving, and respond promptly to requests for records or information.Take responsibility for the accurate preparation, tracking, and secure storage of all medical records. Prepare records for Outpatient, Pre-Assessment, and Admissions clinics. Respond to requests for records or information promptly and professionally. Handle filing, photocopying, telephone enquiries, and general administrative tasks. Transport medical records to relevant departments efficiently. File incoming reports and correspondence into patient records. Maintain meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environment. Operate strictly within Data Protection Act legislation and hospital policies.Who We Are Looking ForPrevious experience in a medical records department or similar healthcare administration role is highly desirable. Strong organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) and comfortable using PC systems. Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach. Comfortable with the physical aspects of the role (moving files and records).
