Role summary As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in identifying, developing and winning new business opportunities. As a motivated and dynamic BDM, this is your chance to join our growing team and help us expand our presence in the UK market. What will be my day-to-day responsibilities? Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and target potential clients through research, networking, and outreach. Work closely with colleagues in Marketing and Sales Development to build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads. Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and prospects needs to inform business strategies. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Develop tailored proposals and deliver dynamic presentations to prospective clients. Negotiate contracts and close deals to exceed revenue targets. Maintain long-term relationships with clients to grow ongoing business. Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with internal teams (design, development, delivery) to ensure we delight our clients. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, pipeline status, and market insights. To get this job, the required skills and experience to demonstrate are: At least 5 years proven experience in business development within a digital agency or related industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport quickly. Self-motivated and goal-orientated, with a passion to succeed in a sales environment and able to work independently. Proven track record of new business wins and increasing revenue growth Demonstrable strategic and business vision Well organised and able to deliver accurate and concise information and reporting Strongly capable with internal systems (MS Office, CRM etc) The freedom to travel, as required, to client offices and to our HQ in Havant, Hampshire (mandatory when required) Desirables that could really help: Experience with Hubspot Experience selling custom software solutions Knowledge of emerging digital trends and technologies (AI for example) What we offer Competitive salary and commission structure Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development.
