Company Accountant | 42,000 | Matlock | Fully Office-Based A successful, long-established, privately owned business group is seeking a dependable, hands-on Company Accountant to take full ownership of its management accounts and day-to-day finance function across multiple trading entities. This is a key, in-house Company Accountant role offering variety, responsibility, and long-term stability . It's perfectly suited to a Company Accountant who enjoys autonomy, visibility, and being closely involved in the operational side of a growing business. The Opportunity As the Company Accountant , you will be responsible for the full management accounting and bookkeeping function across several trading businesses, including: Full bookkeeping through to monthly management accounts VAT returns and tax preparation Xero accounting across multiple companies Budgeting, cost control and cashflow management Providing financial insight and support directly to the director This is a hands-on, in-house Company Accountant role where you will run the finance function end-to-end at management account level. About You You will be an experienced Company Accountant who enjoys ownership and responsibility: AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified (or equivalent experience) Strong practical experience with Xero (essential) Proven experience producing management accounts for multiple entities Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership Highly organised, efficient and accurate Professional, approachable and easy to work with Strong VAT and tax experience is essential. A deeper tax background is highly advantageous. Location & Package Fully office-based role in Matlock (MondayFriday) 9am5pm working hours 42,000 salary 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) Company pension Long-term, permanent position with stability and autonomy This is a fully on-site Company Accountant position.
