Human Resources Group 27,560 - 31,512 per annum Permanent 37 hours per week We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join the Payroll Team at Huddersfield University. This role will serve a key function in processing the main University payroll, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments for 2,000 members of staff. You will play a pivotal part supporting the Payroll Team Leader in the effective delivery of the monthly payroll. You will be processing all starter and leaver documentation, contractual changes, and amending staff records using the integrated HR and Payroll system, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, whilst at the same time providing excellent customer service. You will have significant payroll administrative experience in a similar environment and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Pay As You Earn (PAYE) and statutory regulations, while ensuring the confidentiality of personal data and GDPR compliance. You will have GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, and excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
