This role focuses on hardware racking, structured cable management, inventory control, and coordination of shipping and receiving processes.Core ResponsibilitiesRack and stack servers, network switches, and storage devices following documented procedures.Execute high-precision cable management for copper and fiber assemblies.Perform inventory audits, update asset management systems, and reconcile discrepancies.Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.Collaborate with operations, security, and facilities teams for smooth workflow.Troubleshoot basic hardware and cabling issues and escalate complex problems.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications (A+, BICSI Installer I) preferred.Minimum of one-year hands-on experience in a data center or similar IT environment.Proven ability to lift and move heavy equipment and work at heights safely.Familiarity with warehouse logistics, shipping protocols, and inventory software.Comfortable working in variable temperature environments and on shift rotations.Technical CompetenciesStructured cabling standards for Cat6/Cat6a, single-mode and multi-mode fiber.Proficiency with cable testers, crimpers, and rack installation tools.Basic knowledge of server hardware (RAID configurations, rack PDUs).Experience with asset management tools and barcode scanners.Understanding of ESD precautions, safety practices, and PPE requirements.
