This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident setting machines, optimising processes, and supporting safe, high-quality production in a shift-based environment. The RoleYou will be responsible for setting, running, and supporting injection moulding machines to ensure consistent output, high standards of quality, and maximum uptime. Key responsibilities include: Preparing for production changeovers by ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are ready in advanceCarrying out safe machine shutdowns in line with approved safe systems of workRemoving, transporting, and storing mould tools correctly and safelyInstalling and setting tools for new production runs, completing all checks thoroughlyClearing down materials from previous jobs and ensuring correct materials are available for the next runSetting machines to defined process standards and achieving acceptable first-off qualityMonitoring and optimising processes to meet or exceed target cycle times and cavitationMaintaining clean, safe, and organised production areasResponding promptly to machine, quality, or safety issues to minimise downtimeRecording accurate production and performance dataCompleting all required documentation clearly and on timeCarrying out weekly injection moulding machine fitness-for-use checksSupporting continuous improvement activities including SMED, TPM, processing efficiency, material handling, and automationLeading by example on shift, promoting strong safety standards and teamworkAbout YouEssential: Proven experience working as an Injection Moulding SetterFormal injection moulding setting qualificationsFormal injection moulding processing qualificationsExperience with cranes, lifting and slinging, and powered pallet trucksStrong understanding of health, safety, and quality standardsDesirable: IMT qualificationConfident communicator at shop floor and management levelCalm, structured approach under pressureFlexible, approachable, and team-orientedRecruitment ProcessThe interview process includes anon-site practical assessment followed by an interview with a Shift Manager .
