Role / Job Title: Microsoft Power Platform Architect Work Location: Wokingham, UK (3days) The Role The Power Platform Application Architect leads the end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI, Dataverse, Copilot Studio). This role partners with product owners, engineering, and security/governance teams to define scalable, secure, and supportable architectures, driving adoption through best practices, Center of Excellence (CoE) frameworks, and fusion-team operating models. You will shape the platform roadmap, standardize ALM, and ensure solutions meet enterprise non-functional requirements (NFRs) while delivering measurable business value. Your Responsibilities Architecture & Design Define target and transition architectures for Power Platform solutions across canvas and model-driven apps, Power Pages, Dataverse, custom connectors, and Copilot Studio bots Establish reference architectures and reusable patterns for role-based security, data design, integration, eventing, and observability Lead architecture reviews, threat modeling, and solution design approvals; produce HLD/LLD, sequence diagrams, deployment topologies, and data models Integration & Data Architect secure integrations with Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Event Grid), Microsoft 365, and line-of-business systems via custom connectors Optimize Dataverse schema, relationships, and performance; manage large datasets, virtual tables, and row-level security Ensure data quality, telemetry, and Power BI analytics alignment with semantic models and governance Delivery Leadership Guide fusion teams (citizen developers and professional developers) with standards, code reviews, and hands-on coaching Work with product owners to translate business outcomes into platform capabilities and technical backlog items Manage solution risk, cost, timeline, and non-functional requirements (scalability, performance, reliability, supportability) Platform Enablement & CoE Establish and evolve the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE), including standards, accelerators, templates, guardrails, and training paths Drive adoption, evangelize best practices, and manage demand intake with transparent prioritization Maintain the platform roadmap and lifecycle, including feature evaluation, preview tracking, and deprecation planning Operations & Support Define support models, SLAs, and runbooks; ensure robust monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Dataverse telemetry, and Application Insights Govern service accounts, connectivity, licensing posture, and cost optimization Own incident and problem management for platform-related issues and coordinate with vendor support Your Profile Essential Skills / Knowledge / Experience 8 10 years of experience Desirable Skills / Knowledge / Experience Technical (Must-Have) Expert knowledge of Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, and solution packaging Strong ALM experience with Azure DevOps/GitHub, Power Platform Build Tools, PAC CLI, pipelines, and automated deployments Integration design using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, custom connectors, and webhooks Deep understanding of security and governance, including environment strategy, DLP, role-based access, Microsoft Entra ID, conditional access, and PIM Performance tuning and non-functional requirements, including Dataverse capacity, query optimization, offline considerations, concurrency, and batch processing Familiarity with Copilot Studio (bots/agents), Azure OpenAI integrations, prompt safety, and data compliance Proficiency in Power BI architectural alignment (datasets, gateways, RLS) and Microsoft 365 integrations (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook) Script automation (PowerShell, CLI) and infrastructure-as-code concepts for platform configuration Professional Proven track record leading complex, multi-team deliveries and conducting architecture governance Excellent stakeholder management across business, operations, security, and engineering Clear communication skills with the ability to produce robust design artifacts and present trade-offs Coaching and enablement mindset for fusion teams and citizen developers Desirable Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, public sector) with GDPR and data residency requirements Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or ServiceNow integrations, legacy modernization, and event-driven architectures Exposure to ITIL, SRE, FinOps for cost control, and platform product management Education & Certifications Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience Preferred Microsoft Certifications: PL-600: Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect PL-400: Microsoft Power Platform Developer PL-200: Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant AZ-204: Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure (or AZ-305 for Architect) MS-900 / SC-900 (Foundational), SC-300 (Identity & Access), SC-100 (Cybersecurity Architect) beneficial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Architecture compliance rate (solutions aligned to standards and patterns) Platform adoption and productivity metrics, including number of compliant solutions, build time reduction, and citizen developer enablement Quality and non-functional requirements, including performance SLAs met, incident MTTR, and security findings closed Cost and licensing metrics, including capacity utilization, cost per transaction or app, and optimization achieved Stakeholder satisfaction measured via surveys and delivery outcomes Tools & Technology Stack Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, Power BI DevOps: Azure DevOps / GitHub, PAC CLI, Build Tools, PowerShell Azure: Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, Monitor, Application Insights Security & Identity: Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, PIM, DLP policies Collaboration: Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint), Planner / Azure DevOps Boards, Confluence / Jira (optional) TPBN1_UKTJ
