Quality Inspector (Engineering) / Permanent / Salary up to 32,000 Note: Applicants must be local. This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join a reputable engineering manufacturing company specialising in control systems. This full-time, permanent role suits candidates with experience in the inspection, design, or manufacture of electrical control panels. The Quality Inspector will play a key role in ensuring Thyristor and Contactor Control Panels meet engineering, client, and regulatory requirements throughout all stages of manufacture. Key Responsibilities: Carry out electrical inspections of control panels against engineering drawings, procedures, and documentation at all stages of manufacture. Identify potential design or build issues and escalate to Engineers, the Technical Director, or QC Manager as appropriate. Perform staged and final inspections of sub-assemblies and completed panels in line with system specifications and client requirements. Conduct stage checks on doors, back plates, and sub-assemblies, ensuring route cards are correctly completed before progression. Produce punch lists for remedial works and ensure all actions are recorded on the relevant route cards. Perform final inspections following testing, confirm correct interface with associated heater designs where applicable, and authorise release. Process inspection data and maintain accurate hard and soft copy records. Communicate with external suppliers regarding rejections and corrective action reports. Work in accordance with Quality and Health & Safety Management systems, meeting BS EN ISO 9001 requirements. The successful Quality Inspector will have hands-on experience in quality inspection, including electrical and mechanical products in Oil & Gas and FMCG. They will have a background in control system design or manufacture, strong knowledge of ISO 900 standards, and the ability to work independently or within a team.
