Import & Supply Chain CoordinatorSurrey (Office-based)£29,000 – £30,500 basic salaryMonday–Friday | 07:30–16:30 (1-hour lunch)20 days holiday + Bank Holidays (with length of service bonus)We’re working with a well-established FMCG food importer, growing rapidly across the UK and Ireland, who are looking to add an Import & Supply Chain Coordinator to their expanding supply chain team.This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in managing the end-to-end import process, working closely with overseas suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure products arrive on time and in full.Responsibilities:Managing end-to-end purchase order processing, from demand planning through to UK and Irish port clearanceCommunicating with overseas suppliers to confirm production readiness and shipping schedulesTracking shipments and providing regular updates to internal planning teamsManaging and checking all import documentation, licences, and certificates for customs clearanceLiaising with shipping lines, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and hauliersCoordinating inbound deliveries to on-site and third-party warehousesBooking goods into internal systems and supporting rework orders where neededWorking closely with Finance to ensure timely invoice processingSupporting month-end reporting and KPIs across the supply chain functionYou’ll be joining a supportive team environment where collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement are key.Requirements:Degree-qualified in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)At least 1 year’s experience in shipping or import operations, including customs documentationHighly organised with strong attention to detailConfident communicator with good written and verbal skillsComfortable working with ERP systems and Microsoft OfficeExperience working with freight forwarders and logistics providers is a plusBasic bookkeeping or finance exposure is beneficialBenefits:Competitive salary with clear progression opportunitiesPrivate healthcare (after a qualifying period)Long-term career development within a stable, growing FMCG business
