Job Title - Hedge Fund Trading Operations Analyst Vacancy - Permanent (Full Time - 5 Days in the Office supporting business in Ops)Level - Analyst Location - London (in office 5 days in the office).Right to Work - Unrestricted UK Right to Work - sadly no Student or Post Study Visa applications will be accepted, as they are time limited and our client can't offer any sponsorship, we ask applicants to respect this request. ***Compensation - £50,000 to £65,000 (GBP) base salary + benefits + bonus (discretionary company bonus and ranges have been 30% to 50%) A boutique Hedge Fund in London is looking to make a hire in Trading Operations to support the current Head of Operations and growing business in London. Based in London, you will have the opportunity to support the business across Alternative Investments, covering Public Securities, Equities, Fixed Income and Private Markets.Core responsibilities for Trading Operations - Hedge Fund Operations Analyst, London You will sit with the Investment team support front to back trading operations, covering trade affirmations, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations of cash, cash and margin management, covering funding requirements and liaising with Prime Brokers, Custodians and 3rd party vendors.The role is all encompassing, covering financial NAVs and financial reporting.Accounting for risk hedging and reporting, so a background in Trading Ops with an interest to learn other areas will be ideal.Sat with the Investments teams and to have the tutelage of an experienced and highly likeable Head of Operations in London.Business is very much focussed on culture, hiring good people and ensuring collaboration is the heart of alpha generation and success for the fund in London. Opportunity to work on projects and initiatives to improve the current PMS (Portfolio Management System) and other processes, controls and systems.The business is looking to grow capital, and has a few managed accounts and money managed via the main fund and plans to grow this capital base and subsequent product offering.This Hedge Fund Opportunity is suited to an Operations Analyst with either 2-3 years’ experience looking to move to a Hedge Fund and commit to Trading operations, and cover front to back, have real breadth and depth in responsibilities, whilst diversifying asset class coverage.***Alternative the business will look at an experienced hire with 5 to 7 years or someone returning to work post a period of leave and committed to Trading Operations and being a Specialist.Prerequisite Requirements- Prior Trading Operations experience across Equities, Fixed Income and any Private Market Investments (including Private Credit, Distressed Loans, CLOs), will be ideal, albeit there is a clear opportunity to learn and get exposure to these products derived in Investment Banking, Asset Management or Hedge Fund being highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to solve complex trading queries, and find solutions, no delegation of responsibilities, so the ability to resolve queries is key.Direct experience covering front to back, hands on cash reconciliations, trade settlements, collateral margining, payments and managing queries from the business and 3rd parties.STEM based degree will be ideal, with 2.1 or above being ideal, and please note this role does not offer any sponsorship, so can’t accept any Student or Post Study Visa’s that are time limited, and require sponsorship after this. Good IT skills, with experience across trade management systems or PMS, notably Enfusion (highly advantageous), but training will be offered.This is a unique opportunity for Operations Analyst looking to transition into a Hedge Fund, covering Alternatives, and have unique perspective of being close to the business and covering the whole process, and being committed to Operations.
