It is nurtured to be it's best!Secondly, most importantly, an impact is made in our participants lives.Our most recent Theatre Production 'Hear I Am' showcases everything we do and achieve here.14 participants wrote, directed, made probs and music and performed their own show.For 3 it was their very first time on stage, in front of a live audience in a professional theatre ( 80 members of the public).It was magic!Another example on a more individual note is belowDaniel, a resilient 28-year-old living with severe learning and communication difficulties. His story shows the profound influence that high-quality arts programmes and a supportive community can bring. In Create It! and Express It! courses that Daniel attends, he has changed a lot. Before, he could only say a few things, but now he confidently says things like "I like the ball" and "I'm okay, thanks." Making decisions, which used to be hard, now comes more easily. He can talk in 4–5-word sentences, showing he's more independent.Independence is now a part of Daniel's daily life at Bloomin' Arts. Putting away his chair or taking his cup to the kitchen are easy for him now. All in just one year.Daniel is really happy when he is recognised as an artist.What are we looking for?We are seeking a candidate withIdeally experience of charitable sector and/or business managementLove and interest for arts and culture and belief and knowledge of its impact. Ideally a strong connection to or lived experience of disability.Ability to lead a meeting and ensure actions are taken.Dedication to the role Ability to be in person at Trustee Meetings, held at our venue in RH7. Six meetings per year.
