SENIOR PSYCHIATRIC NURSE / MENTAL HEALTH OFFICERIMS Recruitment’s client operates modern hospitals and community healthcare in Bermuda offering high standards of care from its international workforce.Bermuda is renowned for a high standard of living, outdoor activities, historical towns, beautiful beaches, wonderful climate IMS is seeking experienced A SENIOR MENTAL HEALTH NURSE / MENTAL HEALTH OFFICER (experience in management is required).Key responsibilities include: Provides first line crisis intervention service. Assesses service user’s mental, physical and emotional state and refers to the doctor when necessary Ensures that referrals are screened and assessed appropriately and determines the degree of urgency Provides social liaison and support services for service users at MWI and their families Attends ward rounds and participates in treatment and discharge planning Conducts home assessments and arranges hospital admissions when necessary and adheres to legal requirements of the Bermuda Mental Health Act Promotes mental health education to consumers and the public Provides a 24 hour ‘on-call’ service for psychiatric emergencies in the community Supervises subordinate nurse personnel and acts as preceptor for community personnel Assists in providing performance appraisals as well as clinical supervision for the Community Psychiatric Nurses The offerOn offer are excellent working conditions and financial terms.Attractive salary (very low tax)Relocation allowance, subsidised accommodation for the first 3 months, insurance3 year contracts RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing from an accredited university required or equivalentApproved Nurse Management Credential Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council Minimum of five (5) years post graduate experience in a Nurse Manager / Supervisory Position in Mental Health required Current certification in NCI and CPR Eligible for registration with the Bermuda Nursing CouncilRelocation required If of interest, please send a CV to: camelia@ and we will be happy to provide details and assist.Camelia NituIMS Recruitmentcamelia@
