Site Manager – Southend, £41-48k + Car AllowanceWe are recruiting two experienced Site Managers for a major infrastructure project in Southend, delivering a £11.5m scheme including bridge demolition, earthworks, drainage, roundabout construction, traffic signal installation, and junction remodelling.Location: Bulls Lodge Quarry, Chelmsford (within 1 hour of Southend town centre)Hours: 40 per week, mainly Monday to Friday (overtime for weekends)Team: 6 peopleSalary: £41-48k + £4,700 car allowanceKey Responsibilities:Oversee daily site operations across multiple live projects, ensuring work is safe, on time, and within budget.Support project planning, programming, and delivery strategies.Collaborate with commercial teams on cost estimates, forecasting, and subcontractor management.Lead and coordinate all on-site activities with strict HSEQ compliance.Contribute to ECI processes, including buildability reviews and risk assessments.Engage with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain to maintain strong working relationships.Monitor progress, manage subcontractors, and maintain accurate site records.Requirements:Proven experience as a Site Manager on infrastructure, highways, or major civils projects.Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, and civil engineering principles.Experience supporting planning and working with commercial teams on cost management.Ability to manage multiple sites in a fast-paced environment.Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.Relevant certifications: SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid.HNC in Construction or Civil Engineering.This is a hands-on role for experienced Site Managers ready to take ownership of a high-profile infrastructure project.
