Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) Location: HMP Full Sutton Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00Salary £28,407 to £34,581 a yearAbout the ServiceThe service is delivered in partnership with NHS providers to offer an integrated, stepped-care mental health service within HMP Full Sutton.The multidisciplinary team is made up of highly skilled professionals working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, evidence-based mental health care to individuals within the prison setting.Role OverviewWe are seeking a qualified and accredited Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join an integrated primary care mental health team at HMP Full Sutton.You will provide high-volume, low-intensity psychological interventions to individuals experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and depression, in line with Step 2 IAPT guidelines. Interventions will be delivered in both 1:1 and group formats, using CBT-based self-management approaches.You will work as part of a wider integrated team, supporting individuals throughout their time in custody and contributing to onward care planning for release into the community.Key ResponsibilitiesAccept and triage referrals in line with agreed service protocolsAssess suitability of referrals and step individuals up or down the care pathway as appropriateConduct person-centred assessments, including risk assessment to self and othersDeliver low-intensity, evidence-based interventions including:Guided Self-HelpPsychoeducational interventionsCBT-informed self-management approachesSupport individuals to self-manage their mental health and recoveryRecord and monitor clinical outcomes using validated outcome measuresMaintain accurate, timely clinical records on agreed electronic systemsAttend and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetingsWork collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective stepped-care deliveryLiaise with statutory and non-statutory services to support continuity of care on releaseContribute to performance monitoring and monthly data collectionUphold confidentiality, safeguarding, and information governance standardsAct in accordance with organisational values and professional standards at all timesYou will also work closely with colleagues including:Associate Director for Criminal Justice and Care NavigationHeads of Criminal Justice, Secure Care, and Care NavigationSenior PWPs, Counsellors, Health & Wellbeing Coaches, and Care NavigatorsA flexible approach is required, with willingness to provide contingency cover to other prison sites if needed.About the OrganisationThe organisation is committed to supporting people severely impacted by mental illness.
